Arizona Education Tax Credit |
Here is one way to get a return on your investment in this economy. Invest in Phoenix Union students through the Arizona Education Tax Credit program, and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit when you file your taxes. Married couples filing jointly can donate up to $400 by December 31, 2010 and receive a credit on their state income taxes. Single taxpayers or a head of household receive a credit up to $200. The contributions can be made per school to designated athletic teams, performing and fine arts programs, organizations, clubs, and other student activities or to a general fund if no program is identified. The tax credit is available to all taxpayers, not just those with children in public schools. The Arizona Education Tax Credit has benefited many students who otherwise might not have the financial resources to participate in high school activities.
