Camelback High School 2010-2011 Open House

Camelback High School's 2010-2011 Open House is Thursday, September 16th, from 5:00-7:00PM. 

All students, parents, and community members are encouraged to attend the Open House and the varsity football game.  Our Spartans take on Alhambra High School immediately following the Open House.  The game starts at 7:00PM.

Welcome to the 2010-2011 Academic Year.  This is an exciting time to be a member of the Camelback High School community.  We have a new vision, a new direction, and a new focus.  CBHS is dedicated to helping all Spartans become individuals of strong character (respect, responsibility, ethics, values, scholarship), commitment (self, education, family, community, society, and environment), and competence (academics, arts, athletics, and activities). 

We have created four initiatives that drive our work.  These four initiatives provide our staff, students, and community with a strong sense of direction as we focus on fulfilling our mission of preparing every student for success in college, career, and life. 

College-Bound:  Providing Opportunity and Access

Community-Building:  Facilitating Outreach and Alignment

Campus-Based:  Enhancing Ownership and Accountability

Camelback GEARS:  A "school within a school" that provides rigorous, college- and career-level courses in Game & Web Design, Engineering, Architecture, Robotics, and Sustainability. 

As a part of our Campus-Based initiatives, we have implemented a new required class for all students titled, "Peer Leadership Advisory." To read more about this innovative support system, please click on the "New! Camelback Advisories" link on the left. 

 

Open Library

Once again, Camelback High School will open its library to all Camelback students, parents, and community members.  Open Library will begin after Labor Day.  The library will be open daily from 3:00-5:30PM, Monday through Thursday.  Please see campus security upon arrival and they will direct you to our beautiful library that overlooks Camelback Mountain. 

 

Camelback Food and Clothing Bank

Camelback's Food and Clothing Bank will open again after Labor Day.  If you are in need of assistance with food and/or clothing, please call 602-764-7000 and ask for Rosa Dominguez.
